Invoices from other restaurant linen suppliers can be frustrating. They may not even tell you how many linens you’re using.
At Dempsey Uniform & Linen Supply, we harness technologies, like our VacuTrack™, CustomerPortal, and SilverSaver™ systems, to provide you with knowledge and insight via an online Customer Portal. This proprietary interface enables you to view and adjust your orders to control the total cost. We only bill you based on usage, plus, when employees leave flatware in your soil bags, we collect and return it to you at no additional cost.

REPUTATION
Our excellent reputation is earned.
Newburgh, New York, is where General George Washington advocated for freedom and refused to rule as a king.
The City of Newburgh is located on the west bank of the Hudson River, on lands once inhabited by the Waoranek, a group of Native Americans within the Lenape tribe of the Algonquin nation. In 1609, when Henry Hudson traveled there, his first mate described the area as, “A pleasant place to build a town.” First settled in 1709 by German Lutherans, by 1750 English and Scottish settlers had become the majority and had christened the area, The Parish of Newburgh.
From April 1782 to late 1783, Newburgh served as the Continental Army’s headquarters during the closing years of the American Revolution. General George Washington made his residence at the Hasbrouck House on Kings Highway. When Washington rejected the suggestion of creating an American Monarchy, the roadway was renamed from King’s Highway to Liberty Street. Newburgh’s Hasbrouck House, built in 1750, was the historic setting where he officially ended hostilities with Britain and disbanded the army. Later, in 1800, Newburgh was incorporated as a village, and in 1865 as a city.
Newburgh’s demographics are diverse, and the most delicious reflection of that is the incredible selection of edibles that add a little spice to everyday living. The city boasts a wide range of culinary offerings, from legendary hot-dog joints to specialty restaurants serving Puerto Rican, Dominican, Peruvian, Spanish, Jamaican, or Korean cuisine. Although the world-famous Lobster Newburg has nothing to do with the city, its origin is often incorrectly attributed to the area.
The Hudson River waterfront, with its refreshing breezes and stunning scenery, is a huge draw for visitors who dine on local seafood, smoky ribs, and authentic Italian cuisine, making it worth the drive. Adding to this experience is Newburgh’s eclectic and highly popular craft beer scene. After a good meal, popular activities include taking in the city’s impressive 18th-century architecture, hopping aboard a scenic Pride of the Hudson boat tour, or enjoying live entertainment at Silk Factory, a destination venue. Previously used as a silk factory around 1910, the building has been brought back to life through a 7-year restoration project that preserved much of the original architecture while adding design flourishes, including antique furniture and curated art.
The annual Hudson Valley Taco Fest is always highly anticipated. It’s well attended by foodies from near and far who chow down on a variety of taco styles and flavors, including tasty vegan and seafood options. Celebrating the fruits of the Hudson soil is the Newburgh Urban Farming Fair. Held every year at the Downing Park Urban Farm, this community event is free to attend and celebrates urban agriculture, sustainability, and the power of community. Over the years, tourists have made their way to the Hudson Valley by a variety of means, including carriages, trains, cars, and motorcycles. These days, enthusiasts of the latter make sure to spend time at the Motorcyclepedia Museum. The 85,000-square-foot museum, a collection by father-son duo Gerald and Ted Doering, houses more than 600 motorcycles, with a special emphasis on early American bikes, including the “Indian Timeline” gallery. The museum is a joyful celebration of American motorcycle culture, and even holds an annual swap meet that, in recent years, has attracted 100 vendors and 2,000+ attendees.
