Choose Dempsey and enjoy three unique benefits:

Highest Quality Products and Processes

Dempsey’s commitment to cleanliness through third-party, quantified, biological testing and inspection is validated by TRSA™ Hygienically Clean Food Service Certification. This ensures the textiles we launder meet appropriate hygienically clean standards and best management practices. Inspectors verify our laundry practices, certify our plant’s operational flowchart, and make sure procedures are mapped and employees’ use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is documented. We invest in technologies to provide hygienically clean linen that helps protect the health and safety of guests and employees. Textiles are processed using highly advanced laundering equipment, inspected by the most tenured team in the business, and securely wrapped in plastic for delivery. This saves you time and money, and provides some much-needed peace of mind.

Most Reliable Deliveries

We understand that linen shortages can really slow your restaurant down, frustrating employees and affecting your restaurant’s image.

To increase your restaurant’s efficiency, we leverage technologies, like our VacuTrack™ and MobileLink™ systems, to make complete deliveries on your scheduled delivery day. We accurately track the soiled linens you turn in, maintain deep inventories of the products you use, and route our trucks with GPS precision to make sure your delivery is on schedule.

Lowest Total Cost

Invoices from other restaurant linen suppliers can be frustrating. They may not even tell you how many linens you’re using.

At Dempsey Uniform & Linen Supply, we harness technologies, like our VacuTrack™, CustomerPortal, and SilverSaver™ systems, to provide you with knowledge and insight via an online Customer Portal. This proprietary interface enables you to view and adjust your orders to control the total cost. We only bill you based on usage, plus, when employees leave flatware in your soil bags, we collect and return it to you at no additional cost.

Gaithersburg’s Restaurant Scene is as Diverse as its Population

Once an agricultural settlement known as Log Town, Gaithersburg is located on land granted to Ralph Crabb in 1725 for an estate he called “Deer Park.” In 1884, the rural, laidback community underwent a radical transformation with the construction of the Gaithersburg B&O Railroad Station and Freight Shed. Referred to by the locals simply as “Gaithersburg,” the train station gave the town its identity long before it was incorporated under that name. The station still stands today, providing passenger rail service for the MARC commuter train.

These days, people travel to Gaithersburg to attend a wide variety of events. The Theater at the Arts Barn celebrates art and history with musicals, one-act plays, and magic shows. The Barn, a renovated stable on the Tschiffely Estate, contains a 99-seat theatre, rotating art exhibits, galleries, art studios, and classes for young and old. Oktoberfest at the Kentlands includes horse-drawn wagon rides, a Beer Garden, wine tasting, Bavarian food and culture, traditional dancing, music, arts and crafts, aerialists, and other live entertainment.

In November, Wine Under the Lights features a three-mile trolley ride, and an evening in a heated tent replete with live music, food, and wine tasting. Visitors to SummerFest, a classic European-style street festival, enjoy games, prizes, contests, food, live music, and a spectacular fireworks display. The Gaithersburg Labor Day Parade is a celebration that includes antique cars, fire trucks, clowns, high school marching bands, equestrian units, ethnic dancers, food, and other family-friendly entertainment. During the Christmas season, the Winter Lights Festival invites attendees to drive past 380 illuminated displays and 65 animated lighted vignettes along a 3.5-mile festive area in Seneca Park.

In 2016, the city was ranked first among the 313 largest U.S. cities for ethnic diversity and second for social class diversity. As a population diversifies so too does its demand for entertainment and dining options. Having eagerly embraced the craft beer trend, locals currently enjoy three brewpubs and multiple bars that offer large selections of small-batch brews.

An impressive collection of local restaurants, eateries, and diners are also a delicious reflection of the area’s diversity: Italian, Mediterranean, Greek, Mexican, Portuguese, Uzbeki, Japanese, West African, Thai, French, Chinese, Indian, Columbian, and other exotic cuisines. At Dempsey Uniform & Supply, we are proud to supply high quality uniform rentals, restaurant linens, and facility supplies to dining establishments located in Gaithersburg and the surrounding areas.
